New Year at WAHAHA 3

Students who joined for New Year Course had traditional culture lesson!

One is Calligraphy, and the other one is trying on Kimono.

Let’s see how they did it with their photos.

They practiced a lot with the word they chose!

This is calligraphy but we call this “Kakizome”, coz it was their first day to use brush and sumi (ink) after New Year. For Kakizome, Japanese write what they hope for or favorite word.

After their practice……….

Next day, we did Kimono try on!

They look goooood on Kimono desho!!!

Trying Calligraphy and Kimono during New Year!  Yeah! That’s Japanese tradition?!?!?!

I wonder how many Japanese people did those two activities during New Year..lol
